food is good, taste just like what i had in indo. if you ever miss bakmi, drop by & have a taste of indo in sg at jtown🤭
Haven't been here for the longest time since i stopped working in Orchard area. Been missing the food and craving for it for so long! Today i finally managed to fulfill my craving. Table was very dirty but as the cafe was very busy, i did not ask any of the staff to clean the table. But less than 5mins, a female staff came over and apologized saying sorry the table has not been cleaned yet. Told her no worries, I could see they were very busy. Ordered indomie ayam hijau but the noodle was too al dente for my liking and it was yellow mee not indomie. It was too oily as well but love the taste of the ayam hijau, quite spicy. The ice lychee tea was so good and it did not taste like canned lychees which is good. I will order their ayam belado with rice and fried rice next time. But the most important thing is that today was not my day at all when it comes to making payment. Wanted to pay by PayNow but needed to transfer money from another account. As i have not used that account for some time and my singpass was registered on my old phone, i couldn't get singpass to do the face scan verification which is the last step before i could transfer. I took such a long time but the female staff attending to me was so polite, patient and understanding and kept asking me to eat first and pay later. Tried everything but nothing works. I was so stressed at this point i informed the boss i had issues with the ibanking app and singpass, i will withdraw cash and come back. He was so kind and understanding and just told me not to trouble myself but just pay the next time I patronize his cafe. I never saw that coming and it was wild how he trusted me a total stranger so much and i have not been his regular patron for the longest time. Not that it was a huge amount but it's the kindness and generosity that he shown me in my dire straits time. After i'm done with my meal(freaking embarrassed the entire time), i told him i willl withdraw cash and come back to pay. Before i left, i surrendered all my worldly possessions at that time which was a measly $7! My assurance that i'll be back to pay the balance and am not trying to be a cheapo and get a free meal. I haven't needed to withdraw cash in more than a year. All done through paywave or digital payment. But forgot any ibanking transaction needed singpass which requires face verification scan now for every transaction as added protection. Called Singpass support desk and finally managed to resolve the issue. Came back with a sigh of relief and paid the balance through PayNow. Kept apologizing profusely and thanking both the boss and the female staff that attended to me from the get go. They kept saying it's ok, small matter. What wonderful people. The world would be such a gorgeous and happy place if everyone is like them. We definitely need more people like them especially in service line! Well done team and keep up the awesome job! Thank you so much once again from the bottom of my heart! Much appreciated! Grateful and thankful! 🙏❤️
Could not remember when is the last time, I had visited the shop. The noodle is thick and chewy. I had ordered the black pepper chicken, it still taste the same but the meat seem lesser. Come with a small bowl of tasty soup.
