Visited on a weekday when it just opened. The shop has just got a few customers and it was still rather empty. Got myself a seat and scanned the QR to order via the phone. Quite a number of items were unavailable but didn't really affect me as the main highlight was available. Also ordered a drink to go with the rice. Is it really Michelin standard? Been hearing quite a bit about it and wanted to try for myself. The wait wasn't long the food and drink was served within 5 minutes. And throughout the meal, the place got more and more crowded until it was packed and there were people queuing outside. So how was the food? For the berempah chicken, I would say it's very good and was close to perfection. The other was the egg, so well executed could see the perfect viscosity of the yolk flowing onto the rice. I did ask for less rice so the amount might look at bit little but was sufficient for the meal. The rice was a little letdown for me, though pretty well cooked, for me it lacked the "coconutty" flavour. Felt to me it was almost like a plate of plain rice, just slightly better. And I also cannot fault the chilli because it was good, but the rating was overall on average as the rice is one of the main ingredients in the dish. Also had the bandung lychee, a strange combination never tasted before but quite liked it. Thought the drink would be quite sweet but it wasn't. Worth a try but maybe some people might prefer the subtle taste of the rice. I would say it's probably a 3.5 than a 3.

Nasi Lemak with superb spicy sambal & fragrant rice. The Ayam Goreng Berempah Leg is the star—incredibly juicy, tender & fall-off-the-bone perfect. The Breast is tasty but inevitably drier. Always choose the leg for the best experience.

Have been wanting to visit this place for quite sometime now because it is actually quite near my workplace. Finally decided to go on Wednesday afternoon. Reached the restaurant around 2pm to avoid the lunch time crowd. There are only 3 occupied tables so plenty of seats available. I was the last customer when I left around 2:30pm. Tried their signature nasi lemak with ayam berempah (leg). Portion is quite decent with chicken thigh and drumstick, fried egg, lemak rice, cucumber, peanuts and ikan bilis. Not forgetting the sambal of course. The Chicken is cooked well: Soft and succulent and the freshly fried egg with runny yolk. the nasi lemak has nice aroma but kinda bland. After a few mouthful of the rice and chicken, I realized that something is missing. Everything taste bland. The sambal helped to add some flavor but it can only do so much. I wish there are more seasoning on the chicken to ramp up the flavor. Its a decent plate of nasi lemak but I wish they have bolder flavor on both the rice and chicken. Maybe I will bring along some kecap manis if/when I decided to return.
