A slightly hidden but very cozy and beautifully designed restaurant — perfect for brunch, lunch with a little booze or coffee, or even dinner. The vibe here feels quite different from their first shop on Club Street, but I actually liked this one more — it’s more relaxed and charming in its own way. I visited during lunchtime and it was full, which says a lot. The menu felt like a creative fusion (mostly French with a hint of Japanese influence when I visited). Every dish we tried was really good: creative, well-balanced (not too sweet, salty, or vinegary), and generous in portion. But food portion could be small if a group has more males or hearty eaters. The artichoke dish was absolutely lovely, the sourdough perfectly met my expectations. The house-made raisins on the cheese board were such a pleasant surprise that we ended up ordering one last round of wine. The wine list felt a bit more on the creative or unusual side if you’re used to “standard” wines. They have more selections of natural wines. The staff were super friendly and helpful, explaining options and even letting us try a small sip before deciding. The only minus point is that it’s on the pricier side, so it might not be the best fit for a big or traditional family gathering. It feels more suitable for a cozy date night or a casual meal with friends who enjoy good food and wine. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Enjoyed our lunch here at LBK today. The servers were attentive & friendly. We ordered quite a few dishes & most of it are yummy! I particularly enjoyed the fritters & chips, it’s definitely a must try. The sea bream crudo was also extremely refreshing & really light on the palate. This place is pet-friendly if you’re sitting outside, so it’s a place to consider.
I went to Le Bon Funk with my girlfriend and had an absolutely amazing experience. The food was amazing and the Beef tongue sandwich was out of this world. The staff was excellent and took great care of us throughout our dining experience. My only regret is not getting 2 of each.
