A decent plate of hokkien mee, but I felt it looked nicer than it tasted! Texture was good, but taste was surprisingly light. We thought it would’ve super flavorful with the darker gravy and all that pork lard, but turned out light :(

Tried their Hokkien Mee and sadly it didn’t work out for us — all our plates fell short. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 We really couldn’t understand the hype, as social media reviews were raving but it just wasn’t our experience. There was no umami and definitely no wok hei. Watched back those fb videos raving and saying How Powerful wok hei bla bla.....seriously man...... 🙄🙄🙄 its not 10-30% wok hei. IT WAS 0 Wok Hei. Overall it tasted bland. Seafood was fresh but prawns were almost flavourless, which made them feel a little off. 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 On the positive side, portions were generous 👍🏼, the pork lard was very crunchy and enjoyable 👍🏼, and servings were big (though note there’s an extra 50¢ charge if you want more). Chilli didn’t stand out and wasn’t to our liking. In the end, my friends didn’t even finish their plates as it was a disappointment overall.👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼 Best part? we waited 45mins for this. Not worth our 5mins at all. *taste is subjective so maybe others will like. Just our own experience and taste buds.

Best of both worlds! Hokkien Mee and pork ribs! Hokkien Mee is the wet version, full of umami, chilli is just right, not too spicy.. plenty of pork belly and the prawns is fresh. Pork Ribs is done just nice, I like the sauce, not too tangy with a hint of sweetness… perfect combo with the Hokkien Mee! Definitely will come back! Definitely!
