everyone knows about pretty good muffins and i decided to finally check them out when i was nearby back in august. there were snaking queues but the people at pretty good muffins were diligently and consistently baking so there was no fear of any muffin flavours running out. the space is small but cleverly divided so drinks are sold separately at another corner. they had the usual matcha and hojicha, alongside specials like banana pudding matcha and strawberry matcha. i tried the banana pudding matcha (💵 $6.90) which was a decent portion for the price. the matcha leaned towards the bitter side and was a bit flat for me but the banana pudding added sweetness and helped balance out the drink. the banana pudding served together was also quite generous but it had more cream than sponge and doesn't really mix well with the matcha so i ate it before drinking. not the best banana pudding matcha i've had but still acceptable! will try the strawberry one next time. the muffins are really good. perfect for a snack any time and they stay moist and buttery even after a few days. most flavours leaned towards subtle but i love their wide variety of flavours. my favourite was the biscoff with its ooey gooey lotus biscuit filling and the ndp special — pandan coconut kaya, which was fragrant and rich. i'd definitely come back to purchase more! and a plus point that cdc can be used here :)
Saw this a lot on socials and had to wait for a while hoping for the queue to be shorter. Visited on a weekend lunchtime and there was a queue but it wasn't as long as I imagined. Would say the queue was pretty systematic and people were adhering to queuing and heading towards the display counter when it was their turn. I was standing at the counter looking at the muffins and it was such a hard decision picking the flavours! Initially only thought of getting 2 ended up getting a box and then had to add 1 more cause 6 was just simply not enough! I didn't eat on the day so I placed it in the chiller and only put in the air fryer a while before eating to make it warm. I would say the muffins were pretty good and I enjoyed every of it. Special mention were the orange chocolate, pistachio and matcha strawberry. I found it a bit strange that the matcha latte and muffins were separate queues, the staff initially asked me to pay for the muffins and join the matcha queue but allowed me to order and pay together eventually. It would be fine that day cause there was no queue at the drink area, but I would have walked away if there was a queue. The muffins and drinks were really reasonable and quality pretty good I'll definitely say it's worth the try. Am also trying to find time to go back again!
As the name of the place implies, this place has pretty good muffins. The strawberry matcha and banana pudding matcha were also really refreshing and well balanced. The muffins sell out quite fast so coming earlier is definitely recommended
